About Course

The Grade 4 course enhances literacy and writing skills, while introducing advanced math concepts, including decimals, probability, and geometry. Students explore ecosystems, cells, the solar system, and history, building critical thinking and research abilities.

Objectives:

  • To develop students’ ability to analyse and summarize different genres of fiction.
  • To improve writing skills and to enhance speaking and listening skills.
  • To introduce and reinforce various language elements such as prefixes, suffixes, idioms, and figurative language.
  • To strengthen students’ understanding of place value, multi-digit numbers, and rounding.
  • To improve skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with multi-digit numbers and fractions.
  • To introduce decimal concepts, measurement, geometry, and data interpretation.
  • To develop understanding of probability, mean, median, mode, and range.
  • To introduce fundamental concepts of matter, ecosystems, cells, the human body, the solar system, and biomes.
  • To help students explore the relationship between living organisms and their environment.
  • To develop an understanding of the properties of water and its role in the environment.
  • To deepen students’ understanding of geography, landforms, population distribution, and cultural regions.
  • To introduce historical concepts including ancient civilizations, influential historical figures, and government functions.
  • To explore the concepts of currency, trade systems, and global interdependence.
  • To introduce students to the use of presentation and spreadsheet software.
  • To develop basic coding skills and understanding of digital tools for organizing and presenting information.
